The review
Most "free" funnel tools are trials with the timer hidden. Systeme.io is the rare one where the free plan is a plan, not a countdown: it never expires, it never asks for a card, and the limits are printed on the pricing page instead of discovered at the worst moment.
To test it the way we test everything, we built a real business asset on it: the bio page and lead funnel behind our own launch, start to finish, in one sitting. Pages, email capture, automation, delivery - all of it ran on the free tier, and it is still running now.
Where it stops: one campaign, one automation rule and one workflow means the free plan runs one project, not a portfolio. Fifteen funnel steps is plenty for a lead funnel but tight for a multi-step sales flow. And the platform badge on your pages is the honest price of $0.
None of that is a gotcha - it is a boundary drawn in advance, which is more than most tools in this category will give you. If your first project outgrows it, the step up is $17/month, the cheapest real upgrade in the category.
