What $0 gets you
FineVoice's public pricing table, checked September 28, 2026, lists these Free limits. Our account behaved differently in some places; the test below separates what happened from what the vendor advertises.
The review
We generated a 179-character intro with the Madison voice. FineVoice made a 14-second MP3, which downloaded in this account. The sample was clear and easy to follow. It did not quite sound human yet: the read was a little flat, and the breathy, casual delivery was not a fit for our professional explainer. This is an impression of one Madison sample, not a rating of every FineVoice voice.
One Voice Design generation yielded three previews, about 10 to 11 seconds each. The displayed design balance moved from 5 credits to 4: one credit was observed spent for the generation, not for each preview. We also submitted the 14-second sample to FineVoice OVC Max and produced one Voice Changer result. Later the account showed 3 changer minutes, but we did not measure the charge. We did not save the Design or Changer outputs for careful listening, so we are not judging their audio quality.
The account screen later showed 1,000 TTS characters and three instant-clone slots; we did not measure TTS deduction or make a clone. The public pricing table says 2,000 TTS characters a month, 250 characters per input, and Free downloads are 'Preview Only'. An MP3 nevertheless downloaded in this account. The older free guide conflicts with the account's Voice Design and clone availability. These differences do not promise another new account the same quotas. The real limit is the license. FineVoice's Free Plan terms restrict output to personal, noncommercial and internal evaluation, not monetization, advertising or client work. The public Basic plan showed $8.99 monthly or $5.99 per month on annual billing, $71.99 up front for twelve months plus an extra month, on September 28, 2026. Prices and terms can change. We did not test paid output or compare sound quality head-to-head with ElevenLabs. FineVoice Free is a place to try the workflow; it is not a free production narrator.
The catch
FineVoice's Free Plan terms limit generated output to personal, noncommercial and internal evaluation. No client work, advertising or monetized use on the free license. We did not use FineVoice's generated audio as the soundtrack of our affiliate video. The public pricing table also labels free downloads 'Preview Only', although an MP3 downloaded in this account. Check current terms before using any output.

A 14-second Madison MP3 downloaded in our September 2026 test account, although the public Free table said 'Preview Only'. This single account result does not guarantee every account the same access.
A useful free test bench: Madison produced a clear, downloadable sample, but this particular delivery was a little flat and not right for a professional explainer. Free output is restricted to noncommercial evaluation.
