Revid free plan review: a night-city video for $0, with a download catch
A $0 test turned a script into a night-city video with voice and captions. Download needed a paid plan.

One recorded TikTok-video test with animated AI images, voice and captions. The footage shows editor playback, not a downloaded file.
What $0 gets you
These figures describe one recorded account and the current public pricing page, checked October 6, 2026. An observed balance change is not a fixed cost per video.
The review
One script became a fictional night-city video with voiceover and captions. Revid brought the pieces into an editable project, which is a useful way to see whether an idea works before paying for an export.
We used the TikTok-video route with animated AI images and the Sci-Fi look. The scenes were AI stills with camera moves: pan and zoom gave the images motion, but this test did not produce live-action footage. Revid lists other generation modes; we did not test them here.
The result played in the editor. The download button required Premium, so our footage shows editor playback, not a native downloaded file. That is the free-plan limit that matters if you need a finished MP4 for another platform.
Our account started at 70 credits. The estimate showed 14 credits; the visible counter later went from 70 to 67, and a first-video bonus also appeared. The estimate and balance change are different observations. Together they do not establish a fixed cost per video or prove that every signup receives the same allowance.
The recorded pricing screen lists Hobby at $39/month and also shows Growth at a promotional $39/month. The current public pricing page quotes Growth at $39/month USD with 2,000 monthly credits, or $32/month billed yearly. These are distinct plan and billing labels, not proof that Hobby was renamed. We did not buy a plan or test paid downloads.
Our FreeStack score is 4.1/5 for the tested script-to-video result. Revid made an editable preview with voice and captions. The score reflects that working result, not untested generation modes. Download required a paid plan in this test; that is a plan limit, not a failure of the preview.
Revid's Terms say users own their created content and can use it without an active subscription. A new export requires an active subscription. Users remain responsible for copyright and other third-party rights. We tested editor playback, not a paid export. Terms checked October 9, 2026.
The catch
Our free result played in the editor, but download required Premium. The tested scenes were AI stills with pan and zoom, not live action. The recorded screen listed Hobby at $39/month; the current public page calls its $39/month plan Growth. No paid export was tested.
From the actual build
Frames from the recorded test; captions separate observed results from vendor examples and offers.

The export dialog separates free editor playback from Premium download. Our footage shows editor playback, not a downloaded MP4.

Recorded monthly plans: Hobby $39/month and Growth displayed at a promotional $39/month. This screenshot is not a current offer guarantee; the live pricing page was checked separately.

Actual night-city result from our recorded test. AI still images with camera moves, voiceover and captions, viewed in the editor.

A second scene from the same generated result. The Revid watermark and caption remain visible; this is editor playback, not a downloaded MP4.

The recorded configuration shows the Low image model at one credit per image. This label is not the total video cost.
