FineVoice
Madison was clear, but the delivery felt somewhat robotic, breathy and casual, not the professional tone we wanted.
AI voice · Two hands-on tests
Both free plans let us test AI voices. The limits and licenses matter as much as the sound. We also listened to the same short script in the FineVoice Madison voice and ElevenLabs' Bella; this is our read of those specific takes, not a verdict on every voice either tool offers.
We listened to the same 179-character test script with FineVoice Madison and the brand-swapped 180-character version with ElevenLabs Bella. Madison was clear but somewhat robotic, breathy and casual. Bella leaned more toward a narrator, yet still sounded a bit nasal and lacked the professional delivery we wanted. That is our read of these two takes, not a blanket voice-quality ranking.
| The question | ||
|---|---|---|
| Our score | 3.2/5 | 4.2/5 |
| What we made | A 179-character Madison voiceover (14-second MP3), one Voice Design generation, and one Voice Changer conversion. | Two voiceover takes and a Studio project in a real free account. |
| Free-plan allowance we could verify | The public Free table listed 2,000 TTS characters/month and 250 per input. Our account showed 1,000 characters later; we did not measure the TTS deduction. | 10,000 shared credits/month on the free plan; our 724-character take used 724 credits. |
| Download result | We downloaded one Madison MP3, even though the public Free table said "Preview Only". Do not assume every account can download. | We generated voiceover audio in the free account; see the review for the actual credit trail. |
| Use in monetized content | Free output is for personal, noncommercial and internal evaluation only. | Free output is noncommercial and requires attribution. Starter ($6/month at review time) is the first commercial tier. |
| Our listen to the same script | Madison was clear, but somewhat robotic, breathy and casual. It did not suit a professional explainer for us. | Bella sounded more human and more like a narrator than Madison, but still a bit nasal and short of the professional tone we wanted. |
The evidence
Each review shows account-level proof and vendor terms checked in September 2026.
Madison was clear, but the delivery felt somewhat robotic, breathy and casual, not the professional tone we wanted.
Bella sounded more human and closer to a narrator than the FineVoice Madison voice, but still a little nasal and not yet professional enough for our explainer.
