What changed

Google introduced Nano Banana 2.1 on October 6. Its announcement says the image generation and editing model improves visual design, edits to a selected area and subject consistency. Google lists Flow among the products getting the model.

Why it matters

The promise is easier image changes without losing the person or object you want to keep. Google also says images look more natural. Those are vendor claims, not results from our own test.

Reality Check

Flow has a free tier, but current Flow Help lists Nano Banana 2 Lite as the no-charge default and does not confirm a free quota for 2.1. Check the selected model and credit cost before generating. Our short uses the official Google launch animation, not a FreeStack hands-on test.
