ArtCraft offers free creative apps built with AI
ArtCraft has seven free, open-source creative apps. We made a brief PhotoCraft and FilmCraft check. The apps are early alpha; optional AI-generation credits cost extra.
What changed
ArtCraft offers seven free, open-source creative apps, including PhotoCraft for image editing and FilmCraft for video editing. Optional AI-generation credits cost extra. The project says the apps were built with AI.
Why it matters
The free apps give creators another way to try image and video editing without a paid software subscription. We checked two small actions: Invert on a synthetic image in PhotoCraft v0.3.0 and Split on the built-in demo timeline in FilmCraft v0.2.1.
Reality Check
This was a brief October 8 hands-on check, not a full review. We did not test AI generation or export. PhotoCraft is early alpha, and its README says it is not ready to replace Photoshop for daily professional work. The wide image is an original illustration, not product UI.
